MODULE 1

Diploma in Agile Project Management

1.Introduction to project management

In this lesson we will learn all about the basics of project management concepts. This lesson serves as a primer for more detailed topics that will be discussed throughout this course.

2.IT project management

IT projects can vary significantly from many other domains which overlap with project management. In this lesson we distinguish between how other project management domains vary from IT project management.

3.IT project management methodologies

Project management methodologies are key concepts to understand in any project management environment. In this lesson we explore the most popular methodologies that are often adopted specifically for IT projects.

4.Software tools: Work breakdown structure

In this lesson we investigate an actual use case of how to make sense of project deliverables. More importantly, we explore the use of a software tool to develop a work breakdown structure in order to map our IT project delivarables.

5.Software tools: Scrum boardsw

Scrum boards are a great way to manage project deliverables with project teams. In this lesson we learn how to use an additional software tool to achieve deliverable management.

6.Software tools: Gantt charts

Building from our two previous lessons we will learn how to implement an automated Gantt chart to track the status and milestones of our deliverables using time series data.

7.Project scope management

In this lesson, we illustrate the process of planning scope management. We will also discuss the methods used to collect and document project requirements.

8.Software tools: Developing a prototype

In our final lesson we take a practical approach to developing a basic mobile application prototype with Figma. Prototyping is an important part of agile project management given that it focuses on creating a minimal viable product as early as possible to refine the end product through stakeholder feedback.
